Reflecting on 17 Years in the IT Industry by Feb 2023.

As I sit at my desk, typing away at my keyboard, I can’t help but reflect on the past 17 years that I have spent in the Information Technology(IT) industry. It’s been a wild ride, full of ups and downs, challenges, and victories. Looking back, I’m proud of all I’ve accomplished and all the skills I’ve developed and met great minds.

When I first started in this field, the technology landscape was vastly different than it is today. I started as a #cobol developer in the #mainframe system. We were beginning to see the rise of the internet and the introduction of the first smartphones. Now, technology is an integral part of our daily lives and is constantly evolving. It’s been amazing to witness and be a part of this evolution.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on various projects and with different technologies, including #data and #cloud. I’ve learned much about programming, network architecture, and project management. But, more importantly, I’ve learned about working with people and learned massive from people.

Collaborating with others to solve complex problems has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced in the IT industry has been keeping up with the constantly changing technology landscape. It can be overwhelming at times, but it’s also one of the things I love most about this field. There’s always something new to learn and new ways to improve.

I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to work with amazing people and be a part of a field that constantly pushes the boundaries of what’s possible.

As I look forward to the next 17 years, I’m excited to see where technology will take us and what new challenges and opportunities will arise.

The common theme and key takeaway from my 17-year journey is the importance of fundamentals and focus, which I have learned and applied throughout.

Gratitude, dear leaders.

During my journey, I have had the privilege of meeting and learning from several exceptional leaders and teams, including #Covansys Kamalanathan Selvaraj Nallasivam Palaniswamy Gnanasekaran Rajamanickam Sudheesh Narayanan Ganesh H Iyer Sreesankar S (SānKár) Amal G Jose Cariappa Monaiah Abhilash Pulikkathodi Raghul Chandrasekaran H A R I R sankar kuppuswamy Ukesh Balasubramani Debika Mukherjee Yash Sowale Goutham Belliappa Tejus Shah Sachin Pande Ranganath Ramakrishna Sateesh Gottumukkala Devi Karthika Ashok Raj Tony Laanan Lauren Sanne Kimball Prasad Shyam Jerry Kurtz Sriram Kothandaraman Pankaj Kaul Sol Salinas. . . to name a few.

My next goal is to prioritize practicing the fundamentals and maintaining a laser focus on the needs of our customers, company, community, people, and planet.
